Demand Accountability for the Death of Terence Caffey

In December of 2021, Terence Caffey went on a date at Movie Tavern in Little Rock, Arkansas. He went to get popcorn and, following an altercation, an off-duty deputy attempted to arrest him.

The officer restrained him and Terence begged for help. He cried that he couldn’t breathe. The officer told him he could breathe and continued to use force to detain him.

Once it was clear Terence was not breathing, officers rendered no aid.

Terence died at a local hospital, succumbing to his injuries.

Following an autopsy, Terence’s death was ruled a homicide. Despite this, prosecutors have chosen not to file charges against the officers whose actions directly led to Terence’s death.

This is an outrageous miscarriage of justice.

We are suing the city of Little Rock as well as the movie theater for their roles in Terence’s death. But this is not enough.

Join us in urging Little Rock Mayor Frank Scott Jr. to come to the table and communicate with Terence’s family members, who are waiting for answers and for justice. A movie date should NOT cost a young man his life.

Please join me in demanding that justice be served.
